The U.S. Women’s National Team will return to Fort Lauderdale for the first time in more than 20 years in November when it faces Germany.

U.S. Soccer announced the matchup between the four-time world champions and two-time world champions will be played on Nov. 10 at DRV PNK Stadium. The top two teams in the latest FIFA rankings will also meet at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey on Nov. 13.

The contest will be the first time in five years the USWNT has played in South Florida. Its last game in Fort Lauderdale was a 3-2 loss to Norway in February 2000.

“Playing Germany in the final matches of the year will be ideal for our World Cup preparations for all of our players and coaching staff, but it’s also fantastic for all the fans,” said USWNT head coach Vlatko Andonovski in a statement. “USA-Germany is always one of the most entertaining match-ups in women’s international soccer and it’s a rivalry that has some wonderful history as well.”

The Americans famously beat Germany in the quarterfinals of the 1999 Women’s World Cup and in the 2015 Women’s World Cup semifinals.

The USWNT is 22-4-7 all-time against Germany. The Americans are 33-3-1 all-time in Florida, but just 1-1 in Fort Lauderdale.
