Jacksonville’s two men’s college soccer programs met at Southern Oak Stadium in search of their first ASUN win on Saturday night. Neither one of them earned it.

Mason Duval’s 82nd minute goal allowed host Jacksonville University (2-5-2, 0-0-2 ASUN) to produce a 1-1 draw with North Florida in the 29th River City Rumble. The result was the first time since November 2013 the team rivals tied.

UNF won the 2022 match 1-0, the first since the NCAA eliminated overtime for regular season matchups.

Saturday, the Ospreys (2-3-4, 0-1-1 ASUN) scored first again. Luc Granitur’s 72nd minute goal came from a counter attack down the right. The Ospreys found forward Joaquin Acuna, who rolled a pass into Granitur’s path for his fourth goal of the season.

JU controlled possession, took more shots and made UNF goalkeeper Micah Gun into seven saves. But, the Dolphins could not breach the Ospreys’ defense until Duval’s looping header fell into the far corner.
