Florida State women’s soccer coach Mark Krikorian speaks with reporters following his teams 4-0 win over Alabama.

Undefeated Florida State remained the No. 1 team in the United Soccer Coaches poll. The Seminoles (2-0-0) entered the season as the top-ranked team in the country and did little to deter that notion after shutout victories over No. 21 Texas A&M and Alabama.

Florida State is one of three programs in the state who were ranked in the poll. USF moved up five spots to No. 15 in the country. UCF (1-0) entered the poll at No. 19 following a 4-0 win over Texas on Aug. 19.

All three programs are off to unbeaten starts following victories at home. The Bulls (2-0-0) needed a double overtime penalty kick from Sydny Nasello to dispatch UNF on Sunday evening. That win followed a 2-1 victory over Florida in their Aug. 19 season opener.

Meanwhile, UCF will travel to play the Gators (0-1-1) on Thursday night at 7 p.m.

Following the Seminoles is North Carolina, Virginia, UCLA and Duke. Texas Christian, Pennsylvania State, Pepperdine, Clemson and reigning national champion Santa Clara round out the top 10.
