Tocoi Creek hit the ground running in its first FHSAA postseason match on Tuesday night. The Toros scored five goals in 20 minutes to overwhelm Yulee 8-3 in a Region 1-4A quarterfinal.

The Toros (8-5-3) have won eight straight matches after kicking off their inaugural season winless in their first eight matches.

Yulee senior Reese Mumbauer scored twice and Grace Burns added the Hornets’ third goal in the final minute of the game.

Sophia Vaughn, Kalli Robinson and Emily Bartone scored two goals apiece. Madison Phelps added another and freshman Madison Warner scored the Toros’ eighth in the 73rd minute. Tocoi Creek advances to host South Walton in a regional semifinal on Friday night.
