Lions hand Minnesota United first home loss

Orlando City had never beaten former manager Adrian Heath. That changed on Saturday night in Minneapolis when Duncan McGuire’s 88th minute goal gave the Lions a 2-1 win over Minnesota United.

Orlando (3-2-2, 11 points) has produced results in four of its five road matches across all competitions this season.

Saturday was the first time this season Orlando won a match it trailed. Ivan Angulo equalized in the 66th minute to cancel out Minnesota’s 58th minute opener.

Orlando finished with two shots on goal. But, the Lions made them count.

Both of McGuire’s goals this season have come in the second half of road matches. Saturday was because he made a 15-minute cameo off the bench. The 22-year-old’s first professional goal was in the 53rd minute of a 1-1 draw against D.C. United on March 11.
